Well-attended Road Safety workshop in Brussels

More than 60 persons took the opportunity to join a workshop on road safety at the European Economic and Social Committee on Monday, February 27th 2012. The aim of the workshop was to present the necessary steps towards a European standardized training and certification of road safety experts.

"Road Safety: Common European Training for safer roads and society", as the workshop was titled, included a welcome speech by Stephane Buffetaut, President section TEN-ESSC and presentations from EC delegates. Focusing the importance of road safety operations in local and regional roads, the workshop gave useful input to regional authorities.

Presentations from the workshop can be downloaded from http://pilot4safety.fehrl.org/index.php?m=3&id_directory=7095, along with photos and an audio transcript.
